PROJECT MANAGER

Veronica O. White

Veronica is the project manager of the University of Denver's Center for African American Policy. She is responsible for managing the workflow of the office as well as the Center's budget process. She also researches requirements for funding of special projects, is the event manager for all events hosted by the Center, is the lead administrative officer for the African American Alumni Association and supervises all workstudy staff.

Prior to her position with the Center for African American Policy, Veronica worked at the National Conference of State Legislatures as a research analyst and in several departments with the state of Colorado including the Department of Law and the Department of Regulatory Agencies, and the Office of Governor Richard D. Lamm (D) Co. Her assignments ranged from clerical to professional responsibilities.

In addition to her professional experience, Ms. White has various community commitments including the Aurora Human Relations Commission (1st Vice Chair); Vice President of the western region of the National Association of Human Rights Workers; Junior Achievement (volunteer); Aurora Kaleidoscope Council (president) and Kaleidoscope Heritage Fundraiser Ball (chair) as well as member of the Colorado Black Women for Political Action (CBWPA). She is a graduate of Leadership Aurora 2001-2002--a leadership development program of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. Veronica has been awarded recognition for outstanding performance and service by the University of Denver's Outstanding Staff Award given by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and The Senator Gloria Tanner Leadership & Training Institute for Future Black Women Leaders of Colorado in Recognition of Superior Service Rendered.

Ms. White attended San Jose State University and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University. She is the proud mother of one son, Jonathan.
